Former Miss Spain comes out as gay

24-year-old Spanish beauty queen, Patricia Yurena, has come out as gay after she posted an intimate picture of herself with her partner in bed.

Yurena was crowned Miss Spain in 2008 and 2013, and finished in second place at last year’s Miss Universe competition. She posted the intimate picture of herself and her singer partner, Vanesa Cortes, lying in bed together and captioned it ‘Romeo and Juliet’.

Her announcement makes her the first winner of the Miss Spain competition to openly declare she’s gay.
