Formula One supremo, Bernie Ecclestone, has agreed to pay $100 million (£60m) to buy his way out of his bribery trial.
The 83-year-old billionaire, who would have been jailed for ten years if found guilty, has walked free from the district court in Munich; he was neither found guilty nor innocent, after the court agreed to end the trial.
He went on trial in April this year, after he was accused of paying a German banker $44 million (£26m) to ensure that a company he favoured could buy a stake in the sport.
