Four hostages killed as armed jihadist’s siege ends in Paris

At least four hostages who were held at a Paris store by an armed jihadist have been killed at the end of the siege, it has been reported.

Six explosions were heard at the eastern-Paris supermarket and several hostages were seen running from the store. It was initially hoped all hostages had been saved.

Two police officers were also hurt in the raid on the shop in Porte de Vincennes. Sources reported police managed to hack video surveillance at the market to keep a close eye on what was happening inside. It is also understood officers were secretly communicating by phone with one of the hostages. The hostage-taker has also been killed, sources say.
