Frantic efforts on in search of at large tiger near Paris

Police, fire officials and a specially-trained hunting dog are searching for a big cat – believed to be a tiger – spotted in a town outside Paris, the French capital.

A woman alerted officials after spotting the animal in a supermarket car park in Montevrain (east of Paris) yesterday (Thursday, November 13).

Soldiers were preparing to join the search as it resumed for a second day following the fresh sighting at the Total petrol station along the A4 motorway at Ferrieres-en-Brie (Paris). The paw prints were discovered at around 6.45am local time today (Friday, November 14) and are being examined by experts, French daily Le Parisien reports.
