Twitter Nigeria was thrown into frenzy after it became known that Amina Ali, the Chibok girl that was rescued on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 couldn’t speak a word in English.
Amina Ali is one of the 218 girls abducted from their hostel in Government Secondary School, Chibok two years ago as they prepared for their West African School Certificate Examination (WASCE).
It was therefore expected that at least, an SS3 student should be able to communicate in English, or the pidgin version at the very least. Her inability to do just that got many Nigerians talking.
