Fuel scarcity looms as PENGASSAN threatens strike

The respite of a few weeks with more expensive fuel widely available across the country may end on Thursday, July 7, 2016,  as Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) has directed its members to begin a nationwide strike that day over government’s non-implementation of agreements.

The strike will affect upstream, midstream and downstream sectors of the oil industry, and possibly ground the economy.
