Funke Akindele, D Banj, Sammie Okposo, PSquare,Basketmouth, 15 others retained as Glo Brand Ambassadors

Telecommunications solutions provider, Globacom has released a comprehensive list of its brand ambassadors, retaining twenty showbiz superstars who have consistently projected the network positively.

The ambassadors include Fulani-born trado-hip hop crooner, Sani Danja; foremost gospel musician, Sammie Okposo; comedienne, Helen Paul; electrifying Peter and Paul Okoye popularly known as P Square; popular Nollywood diva, Funke Akindele of Jenifa fame and her colleague, Ini Edo.

Also in the league are  Bezhiwa Idakula (Bez); popular comedian Bright Okpocha (Basketmouth); African Rapper Number One, Jude Abaga (MI ); Koko master, Dapo Oyebanjo (D’banj), Wande Coal, Chinedu Okolie (Flavour); Omawumi Megbele; Ego Ogbaro and veteran broadcaster, Bimbo Oloyede. Others are John Okafor (Mr Ibu); Ime Bishop Umoh; Chinwetalu Agu and Damini Ogolu (Burna Boy).

As brand representatives, the 20 entertainers are vested with the responsibility of positively motivating their followers from all strata of life not only to join the Globacom network but to recommend its products and services to others in their circles of influence.

The twenty popular showbiz stars who have been appearing in television commercials, on billboards, lamp posts and fliers of the network, will complement the efforts of existing influencers  who are expected to encourage subscribers to believe in themselves and in the uniqueness of their talents, dreams and goals.

Only last year, Globacom announced a  list of artistes who were described as influencers in their different areas of talent concentration for its theme campaign, “Go Ahead’ which depicted the essence of the network and also communicates the dynamism of its services in voice, data and fixed lines.

The influencers include Sunday Omobolanle widely known as Aluwe, legendary Zebrudaya alias 4:30 and his telly-wife, Ovuleria of the defunct New Masquerade series. Others are Bolaji Amusan a.k.a Mr Latin, while Madam Amebo and Madam Kofo Abiola were re-enlisted on the roll.

Others are Saheed Mohammed (Funky Mallam), Morocco Maduka,Charles Awurum and Victor Osuagwu as well as Wasiu Alabi Pasuma and his brotherFuji act, Saheed Osupa; Chief Executive Officer  of Ovation magazine, Dele Momodu  and immediate past Delta State Commissioner for Arts and Culture, Richard Mofe-Damijo who both  represent the upwardly-mobile, new Aristocrats on the list.
