MRS. OLUBUNMI OBABIYI, a 30 year old trader approached Alakuko Customary Court, Lagos, for the dissolution of her union because her husband cannot perform well in bed. She blamed her matrimonial woes on the small size of her husband’s penis.

28 year old ZAINAB WAHEED opted to divorce her husband because she was forced to marry him. She told an Omu-Aran Area Court that her five year old marriage should be dissolved. ZAINAB promised to return the bride price paid by her husband.
Despite her husband’s plea to keep the union, ZAINAB stood her ground.

ADEBAYO, a 33 year old man divorced his 28 year old wife, OLUWATOYIN because he wants his bride price back. ADEBAYO said he realized that the bride price collected from him was too much after living with his wife for two months.
He told an Ibadan customary court in Mapo that he will rather collect his money, marry another lady with a less expensive bride price. All efforts to reconcile the couple did not yield result as Adebayo had made up his mind to walk out of the union.

MR. SURAJU OMOLABI, a 42 year old businessman urged an Abeokuta Grade II Customary Court in Ake to dissolve their 11 year old marriage because his wife, FUNMILAYO deliberately installed a security code on her phone so that he wouldn’t have access to it.
The man stated that he is suspecting his wife’s infidelity since she started locking her phone. The court granted his request.

A police officer, MRS. FUNMILAYO ALADE filed for divorce in Iyana Ipaja customary court because her husband is fetish. The husband, who is also a police officer, admitted being fetish because of the nature of his job.

JOHN TAIWO, a 31 year old electrical engineer became single again after an Igando customary court granted his wife, TITILOPE, 28 years, her request.
MRS. TAIWO told the court that her husband is fond of shouting her friend’s name in his sleep even while they are having sex. John will always shout, ‘TOPE, when he is enjoying himself. She said she has pleaded with him to no avail.

A civil servant, KEHINDE OLORUNFEMI had her 14 year old marriage to fridge repairer, LUCKY OKODUWA dissolved by an Ibadan Grade C Customary Court on the ground that he bedwets.
Kehinde said she has kept it a top secret until she couldn’t take it again. Apart from bedwetting, her husband also batters her.

TINUKE BELLO, a 35 year old trader opted for divorce after she discovered that her husband was also married to three other women two weeks after their wedding.
TINUKE told Igando Customary Court that her husband did not disclose it to her that he was formerly married, not to talk of being married to more than three women.

OLAWALE ADEBO, a 38 year old teacher was granted divorce by an Ilorin area court because his wife, Susan refused to consummate their marriage after one year. Susan refused to consummate the marriage on her wedding night. She slept fully dressed and wrapped with a blanket.
When her husband tried to make love to her, she pushed him away. She refused to sleep with him for a year.

CHINWE NWACHU-KWU, a 32 year old businesswoman is divorcing her husband because she cannot contain fame any more. CHINWE is divorcing her husband because she is afraid she might lose him to other women. TEGA became popular when he was elected the head of his town’s meeting in his Abeokuta base.
An Abeokuta Grade II Court tried to reconcile the two but to no avail.

MUJIDAT IBRAHIM, a 36 year old petty trader left her husband because he snores too much. According to MUJIDAT, she has tried her best medically and traditionally to stop her husband from snoring. She complained to an Ilorin area court that she finds it difficult to sleep when her husband starts snoring.

“My wife has terrible mouth odour that I find difficult to cope with”, that was BANKOLE SEGUN‘s complain for divorcing his wife at Iyana Ipaja Grade A Customary Court. We have tried to stop the odour to no avail. I didn’t marry her like that, the odour started two years after our marriage.

KEJI OLAWOLE, a 40 year old businessman filed for divorce because his wife, ADEOLA talks too much. “Even when I am tired and try to rest, her talking habit keeps me off. She talks non-stop and does not allow me a say in the house.”
Igando Customary Court granted his request after several efforts to reconcile them.

PAUL OMONIYI, a sex fatigued husband approached Agege Customary Court claiming that his wife has been harassing him for sex since they got married in April 2012. He told the court his wife forced medication on him to boast his libido and threatened to hook up with other men if she remained sex starved.
Things got so bad that he had to be hospitalized for an uneasy stomach at one point. His wife, BLESSING refused to appear in court.
