On Sunday, April 30, 2017, fierry leader of Oodua People’s Congress (OPC), Otunba Gani Abiodun Ihe Adams clocked 47. The day didn’t just pass by unnoticed as the Arigidi Akoko, Ondo born activist rolled out the drums as usual to celebrate his new age in a classy way.

The event which held at Batten House Event Centre, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos drew dignitaries from all spheres of life.
Among the eminent personalities at the occasion were Chief Ayo Adebanjo, Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi ably represented by Aare Ayandotun Oyelakin, other traditional rulers included Onigbaye ofIgbaye land, Oba Okunola Oni, Oba of Shasha Kingdom, Oba Adeogun Ogungbonna, Olu of Ignore, Oba Solomon Adisa Shokunbi, Olu of Ilemode, Oba Kolawole Sowemimo, Olu of Owode, Oba Sikiru Adeniyi Egbeyemi, Alakute of Akute, Oba IdowuS Akindele, Saki Arigidi of Arigidi Akoko Oba Yisa OOlanipekun and others.
The event was anchored by popular and talented comedian cum Master of Ceremonies, Malam Nuru Sokoto, otherwise known as MC Kiriktri, while popular musicians, including, Sir Shina Peters, Wasiu Alabi (Pasuma), Atorise, Seun Aransiola thrilled.
Speaking at the occasion, the celebrant expressed gratitude to God for the success of the event. He added that the massive turnout recorded was a reward for the service and sacrifice he had rendered to the Nigerian community irrespective of ethnic backgrounds.
“Anything you are doing, continue with it. No matter how people try to victimise you, so far you are on the side of the people, God will reward you at the end of it all. That’s exactly what we are seeing here today. It’s a reward for the service to the people, the Yoruba race, and Nigerians as a whole.
“I pray that God should give me more years to serve the people, and for the people to continue to honour me.”
