Gani Fawehinmi Annual Scholarship Awards 2018

The Gani Fawehinmi Annual Scholarship for students of Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria is here again. The ‘year’s awards is for Twenty (20} students, each of whom will receive N100,000.00 (One hundred thousand Naira) making a total of N2 Million Naira.

The Annual Scholarship, which started since 1973 has continued even after the demise of Chief Gani Fawehinmi, as enshrined in his last Will and Testament, has grown in leaps and bounds.

To make the Annual Scholarship more accessible to poor and indigent students for which it is meant for, the Scholarship Board has decentralised the interview centres in the following order:

 

(b)          SOUTH EAST AND SOUTH SOUTH ZONES

Venue: ASUU Secretariat, Federal University of Technology, Owerri

(b)          NORTHERN ZONE

Date:     Thursday, August 30, 2018

Venue:                 ASUU Secretariat, Gwagwalada Campus, University of Abuja

Time:     1O.00AM

 

(c)           SOUTH WEST ZONE

Date:     Tuesday, September 11,2018

Venue:                 Nigerian Law Publications House, Otunba Jobi Fele Way, C.S.D., Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos State

Time:     1O.00AM

 

Successful candidates will be awarded the Scholarship on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Nigerian Law Publications House, Otunba Jobi Fele Way, C.B.D., Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos in remembrance of the death of the founder Chief Gani Fawehinmi, SAN who in his life time stood for the protection and emancipation of the poor masses of our country.

 

Poor, indigent but brilliant students of tertiary institutions that are yet to apply still have the opportunity to do so in any of the centers nearest to their institutions of higher learning.
