Following the registration of the National Conscience Party by INEC, Chief Gani Fawehinmi won the ticket to fly the flag of his party in the 2003 presidential elections, but he soon realized that partisan politics was a different ball game from his familiar terrain.
His presidential interest whittled down naturally after that eye-opener (where he scored 161,333 votes (0.41% of votes cast)). And he never contested again.
