General Buhari’s Convoy Targeted By Second Bomb Blast, as twin blasts rock Kaduna

A source close to former military Head of State, Muhammadu Buhari, has told SaharaReporters that a second bomb explosion that rocked the Kawo bus station in Kaduna earlier today appeared to have targeted Mr. Buhari’s convoy.
The source disclosed that the Kawo bus stop explosion happened as his convoy was passing through the area as he was returning from a funeral in Zaria at the time of the explosion.
Three aides and security personnel traveling with Gen. Buhari to Daura, his hometown, have been confirmed injured in the afternoon blast, while about 50 others (according to a Red Cross official) were killed in the blast near a bridge in Kawo.
It would be recalled that an earlier explosion also in Kawo had killed about 25 persons.
