Ghana to export electricity to Nigeria

Ghana has said it is planning to export thousands of megawatts of electricity to countries with power deficit, including Nigeria, Cote D’Ivoire and other neighbouring countries.

This was disclosed yesterday (October 1) at the Global Business and Economic Forum in Dubai by Ghana’s president, Mr. John Mahama, who said his government had made huge investments in power generation that would enable the country to export excess electricity to Nigeria and others.
