Glo adds 16 new locations to 4G network

…. LASU, Babcock University, Redemers University, Utako, others join

Grandmasters of data, Globacom, has extended its 4G LTE network to 16 new locations, bringing its areas of coverage on the supersonic innovation to 33.

The new locations include  Ikeja, Oregun, Opebi, Isolo, LASU  in Lagos;  Redemption Camp on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Redeemer’s University, Ede, Osun State; Babcock University, Ilishan, Ogun State;  Rukpokwu, Rumuibekwe, Eleme Junction, Eliozu, Woji, Rumuigbo in Rivers State; and Mpape and Utako in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

Globacom had earlier lit up Bonny, Escravos, Forcados, Abraka (Delta State University Sapele (Western Delta University) and Agbor (College of Education) in Delta State; and Ekpoma (Ambrose Alli University) and Okada (Igbinedion University), both in Edo State.

The operator  debuted its  4G LTE network  in Lagos- Lekki, Ikoyi, Victoria Island, Ajah and Akoka (South West), Port Harcourt- Aba Road, Trans Amadi, Diobu, Old GRA and UniPort, Warri, Eket and Benin (South South), Abuja- Maitama, Wuse, Asokoro, Garki/Central Business District and Airport Road and Jos (North Central), Yola – ABTI (North East) and Zaria- ABU (North West).

According to the company, the new locations were activated in fulfilment of its commitment to taking its 4G LTE services to more cities of Nigeria in quick succession.

Globacom, on the strength of the 4G network offers instant efficient mobile broadband internet to millions of Nigerians at a superior speed, thereby making it possible for subscribers to download ultra high definition videos in seconds.

Similarly, the company’s  brand new 4G LTE router  gives access to Ultra High Speed Internet and landline, complemented with  free SIM, 60 GB of shareable data valid for a month and free world-class content for a one-off fee of N31,000. Subscribers who  prefer MiFi, have access have in addition to the 4G MiFi, free SIM, 60 GB of shareable data valid for one month and free world-class content for a one-off fee of N25,000.

Glo 4G LTE has benefits including free access to millions of music, video and movie on demand, among others.  Available 4G data bundles include N500 for a whopping 1.6GB of data, N1000 for 3.2GB data and 7.5GB for N2000. Others include 10GB for N2, 500, 18GB for N4000 and 24GB for N5000.

Customers who wish to join the supersonic network are required to buy a 4G enabled phone, buy and  register  a 4G LTE Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) or swap their existing SIM for a 4G SIM  and thereafter dial *777# to buy a data plan.
