Glo Powers One Lagos Fiesta

Next generation network, Globacom has reassured Lagos State Government that it will partner with it to make Lagos the “party capital of Africa” as it powers the “One Lagos Fiesta”.

This assurance was given by Globacom’s Senior Manager, Events, Sola Mogaji  at  Freedom Park, Broad Street, Lagos on Tuesday night during the launch of “One Lagos Fiesta”.

Mogaji stated that Globacom will deploy its wealth of experience in entertainment event packaging to make the fiesta grand.

“Our participation in this noble entertainment project is our way of reinforcing government’s efforts at creating commercial value within the entertainment industry. Lagosians should expect the premium Glo treatment that promises optimum fun with the full complement of our iconic brand ambassadors who rank among the best in the industry”, he added.

Mogaji said that an experiential corner will be created by the company in all the five locations in order to make end of the year celebrations in Lagos a memorable one and also to allow Lagosians and fun-seekers an opportunity to continue their interaction with the brand.

He stated further that  the decision of Lagos State Government to extend the show to all ‘IBILE’ headquarters is commendable, adding that it will give Lagosians across the state more sense of belonging and recognition.

The Lagos State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Mr. Folorunsho Folarin-Coker explained in his welcome address that the concept of One Lagos Fiesta (OLF) will entrench arts and culture in Lagos State, adding that the concept has been expanded from the Lagos Countdown project  to enhance the experience of Lagosians during the festive occasion.

According to him, as part of first step towards branding Lagos as the entertainment capital of Africa, about 50 artistes will entertain the people simultaneously across the five ‘IBILE’ headquarters of  Badagry, Epe, Ikorodu, Agege and Bar Beach starting from Sunday, 27^th December and ending on Thursday, 31^stDecember, 2015.

The compere, Gbenga Adeyinka l, gave a hint of top artistes who will be on parade during the show, including African China, 9ice, Sound Sultan, Baba Dee, May Dee, Y Cee, Jaywon, Dr. Sid and Ara to whet the appetite of guests.
