Glo wraps up 2016 edition of Campus Storm in IMSU

Next generation telecoms operator, Globacom, has successfully completed the 2016 edition of the nationwide students oriented music concert, the Glo Campus Storm at the Imo State University, Owerri on Friday, December 16, 2016.

The first phase of the concert which began on October 14, at the University of Port Harcourt, was taken to several institutions including the University of Nigeria (Enugu and Nsukka), The Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, the University of Uyo, Abia State University, Uturu, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. Others are Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki, University of Benin and the Imo State University, Owerri.

The Yuletide commenced on good note for the students of the institution who turned up for the concert in their numbers to watch the duo of Glo ambassadors, Reekado Banks and Korede Bello perform.

Reekado Banks set the ball rolling, performing ‘Looku Looku’, ‘Chop am’, ‘Sugar Baby’; ‘Problem’; and ‘Katapot’. He rounded off his scintillating act with his hit track, ‘Oluwa ni’. Korede Bello raised the tempo when he stepped on stage. He rendered his ‘Mungo Park’ track, following it up with ‘One and Only’, ‘Adaobi’ ‘Do it like that’, ‘Relative’ and ‘ I don get alert’.

Prior to these performances, budding artistes among the students such as Dimky, Roger-Lino, Lee Ray, Ok David and Young Prince were given the opportunity to showcase their skills. Lambasixx outshined his peers as he was the cynosure of all eyes.

Enugu-based comedian, 2CanTalk who anchored the event, added spice with his hilarious, rib-cracking jokes depicting the lifestyle of an average student on campus.

A beauty pageant was also part of the activities lined up to entertain the students at the IMSU concert. Nnamdi Tochukwu was crown “Glo Campus Data Dude” in the male category while Amamihe Jennifer was crowned IMSU “Glo Campus Data Diva” in the female category. Both winners carted home One Hundred Thousand Naira each.

Eight other runners up in the male and female categories also smiled home with Fifty Thousand Naira each.
