Glo Mega Show in Accra, Ghana, was brought to a glorious end on Saturday with the participation of some of the best names in music and comedy on the continent.
The entertainment extravaganza organized by the telecommunications giant, Globacom, had treated Glo subscribers in Ghana to undiluted fun of music and comedy in the last three months at the Fantasy Dome, Trade Fair Centre, Accra.
The grand finale, which commenced about 5 p.m. and lasted until the early hours of Sunday, was a combination of music and comedy.
Nigerian and Ghanaian stars who mounted the stage one after the other to thrill fun seekers at the event included Wizkid, Davido, Gordons, Yemi Alade, Flavour, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, Patapaa, and Foster Romanus.
It was a roller-coaster of fun from the blast of the whistle till the end. Davido, Wizkid and Flavour particularly gave an excellent account of themselves.
Nollywood great, Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD), music super diva, Omawumi were also available to spice up the event. DJ Cuppy provided music, while the duo of Ghanaian actress, Juliet Ibrahim and Nigerian comedian, Gordons, compered the show.
Before the grand finale, four shows had been previously held at the same venue. Head of Business, Glo Mobile, Mr. Uche Ojo, said the five events were packaged to appreciate the company’s faithful subscribers and also to welcome new ones onto the network.
Some of the fun seekers who attended Glo Mega Show’s grand finale described their experience as unforgettable. One of them, Yaw Bernard, described the show as electrifying and clearly the biggest since the commencement of the shows on August 12.
Another respondent, James Dadzie, said: “I was shocked seeing all the big boys on the stage, performing one after the other. It is an experience I won’t forget in a hurry”.
