Encomium
Man of impeccable style, Goke Omisore who redefined hair grooming decades ago when he opened Headmasters and who is presently redefining what a mall should be with his gasp-inducing Omission Mall at Lekki Phase I, Lagos celebrated his 65th birthday recently.
He could afford to fly friends and guests to one exotic Island in the Carribean or one holiday resort in the South of France; rather, he handpicked 50 guests to enjoy dinner with him at the new rave Intercontinental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Though a week-day, the guest-list of those who came to felicitate with him was intimidating. From His Royal Highness, Oba Okunade Sijuade, the Oonirisa of Ife, to the czar of advertising in Nigeria, Biodun Shobanjo, to captains of industry and the crème de la creme of Lagos, those who determine things in Lagos, it was an A-list party.
Amidst camaraderie and back slapping, everybody wishes the birthday boy many more years of fruitful existence on mother earth.
