‘Good music attracts good response’ -DA BLAZE

Eleto Qudus Olamilekan, aka Da Blaze is one of the up and coming artistes on AMO Records.  His single, Lobatan which featured Mayokun went viral on television and radio stations when it was released.  He is set to drop another hit titled Hustle Spirit which would soon be ruling the airwaves.  Encomium Weekly had an interview with him about it and much more.

Tell us about your song Hustle Spirit?

I came up with that song because of the way people started hustling when recession began.  Everybody became an hustler, nobody wants to sit down and fold his hands again. I thought about it and decided to write a song about it.

Tell us about other songs you have released?

I did my first song with Mayokun.  It is entitled Lobatan. The reception was massive.  It was on the hit list in London. It came out from the top ten hit songs of the week.  It was really a massive one for me as a new entrant. I later dropped another song and now the third single Hustle Spirit will soon be out.

What kind of music do you do?

RnB, Afro pop. The first and second singles are afro pop.

Are you thinking of having a collabo with any artiste one day?

Everything is in the hands of God. I may conclude that I would have a collabo with a Nigerian artiste today and God would bring an international act my way tomorrow.   There are a lot of good artistes out there, they are all making Nigeria proud.

How do you intend making a head way in a saturated industry?

If you do good music, you should expect good response.  I hope, in a couple of years, I would be a star because I will continue to turn out good music.
