We can’t have enough of the DC Envoys frontman. Comedy and music are his forte. But he’s still trying to get used to the complex city of Lagos…

 

Where do you live in Lagos?

I live in Ikeja. When I came from Delta that was my first port of call. I like the people and the place is lovely.

What’s your earliest Lagos experience?

My friends who visited Lagos before me used to tell me about the fun, hustling and the bustling of the city. And when I finally arrived, I couldn’t prove them wrong. In fact, their idea about Lagos was half what I saw. But it’s been fun.

What do you like most about Lagos?

Apart from the fact that Lagos is a commercial city, I particularly like the aura. It motivates you to pursue your dreams and aspirations with such an unbelievably vigour.

what do you miss most when you are outside Lagos?

When I am outside Lagos, I really miss the people and of course the flow.

How do you move around Lagos?

For now, I move around with my record label’s Previa (Alec’s Music). And occasionally I do take a drop sometimes.

Where do you shop in Lagos?

I am a designer, I wear my own clothes. I just wear Wanawana, that’s my clothing line.

Who is your favourite Lagos celebrity?

My favourite celebrities are Richard Mofe Damijo, Ali Baba and 2Face Idibia.

How do you relax?

I watch movies and sometimes play chess.

What do you hate most about Lagos?

For now, I am yet to discover any because I am still getting to know the city.

What new project are you working on presently?

For now my album is ready, and it would be out soon.
