Kefee reportedly collapsed on a Chicago (IIIionis) bound flight on Thursday, May 29, 2014, forcing the plane to make an emergency landing in Los Angeles (California) so she could receive medical attention. And she slipped into coma while colleagues, family and friends prayed for her recovery.

Unfortunately, she couldn’t make it.

Kefee was rumoured to have suffered Pre-eclampsia, an ailment identified as pregnancy induced high blood pressure but a statement released by her United Kingdom manager, Adeline Adebayo on Friday, June 13, 2014, insisted she died of lungs failure.

“It is with great sadness but grateful hearts that we announce the passing to glory due to lungs failure of our God’s mouthpiece, chorus leader, daughter, wife, sister, friend, Kefee, Branama Queen. May her beautiful, gentle ad precious soul rest in peace.”

The Kokoroko crooner had just finished recording songs and shot her video which is yet to be released before her sudden death. The award-winning artiste was formerly married to music producer, Alec Godwin. The two went their separate ways due to unresolved marital conflict in 2008.

She remarried in 2012. She tied the knot with radio presenter, Teddy Don-Momoh. The OAP has just left Star FM and both were planning to set up a private business together before death came calling.
