After the National Executive Council meeting of All Progressives Congress today (Friday, July 3, 2015) in Abuja, Imo governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, who addressed the press, confirmed that the leadership of the National Assembly has the blessing of the party.
The peace meeting, according to him, went well. And Senate President, Bukola Saraki and Speaker, Yakubu Dogara, have been accepted as bona fide leaders of the National Assembly.
With Senator Saraki beaming with smiles during the press briefing, the same cannot be said of Femi Gbajabiamila who vied for speakership of the House of Representatives. He was expressionless.
At separate interviews, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, APC’s Publicity Secretary, and Senator Saraki confirmed the acceptance of law makers’ leadership by the party.
More details of the peace meeting have been promised by the party in the following days.
