Gridlock eases around Ojodu, Berger, Omole and Ogba axis

The gridlock which paraylsed movements of vehicles yesterday (March 31, 2014) around Ojodu, Berger, Omole and Ogba in Ikeja axis of Lagos following the closure of Lateef Jakande Road (Agidingbi) at Wemco Junction has eased today.

The traffic this morning (Tuesday, April 1, 2014) was far better than yesterday around the axis, with motorists spending about one hour more than usual (against yesterday’s over two hours).

Later today, the pressure reduced to about 30 minutes extra time on the road as motorists struggled to ply Ogunnusi Road.

The log jam is as a result of the drainage being constructed from Wemco Road to Omole gauge to prevent flooding. The road will be closed until April 7, 2014.

And patience and caution have been the watchwords of motorists.
