Halima Abubakar denies dating Ruggedman, ‘It’s rubbish’

NOLLYWOOD star actress, Halima Abubakar has rubbished social media report that she is savouring a juicy romance with rap star, Michael Stephen, popularly known as Ruggedman. She added that the publication is far from the truth.

She further described it as frivolous insinuation.

Speaking with ENCOMIUM Weekly on Saturday, October 11, 2014, the multiple award winning thespian expressed discomfort about the rumour. She therefore, called on the public to disregard it out-rightly as nothing like unholy affair transpired between herself and the Ohafia, Abia born musician.

“There is no iota of truth in that. In fact, it makes me upset. I don’t even like responding to such rubbish insinuation again. Its rubbish and frivolous. I think by now, those thinking in that direction should know I should be bigger than that kind of rubbish. Honestly, you’re not even expected to ask me that kind of a thing. I don’t have time attending to issues like that. Just ignore it and leave those saying rubbish to continue with their lies. I am even annoyed.

“Does it mean if I talk to anybody in the industry, that means I am dating the person? How can that be? Almost all my colleagues are my friends, does that mean I am dating them? I don’t think any sensible person will want to be interested in that kind of nonsense.”

Meanwhile, the information stated that Abubakar and Ruggedman have been friends for about five years now, but just a few months back, they allegedly started getting closer than ever before. Not only that, they were reportedly spotted at a club in Lagos recently, caressing each other in the most romantic way.

But when ENCOMIUM Weekly contacted the Kogi born role interpreter cum film maker, she denied it all.

ENCOMIUM Weekly’s effort to get Ruggedman’s reaction on the story were all futile as his mobile line was unavailable. We later sent him a text, and there was no response as at press time.
