About 34 aircraft – 30 of them private jets of politicians and moguls, and the other belonging to Police and the Air Force – choked the small airport in Minna, Niger state, as big wigs jostled to identify with General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida (rtd) as his 31 year old last child wedded on Thursday, May 11 and Friday, May 12, 2017.
The dignitaries started arriving for the cultural night on Thursday.
The airport in Minna could be described as hosting an air show with small and medium sized planes jostling for space.
To land and take off became a very masterfully plotted exercise with many of the owners of the jets stuck in ‘traffic’ for hours.
A billionaire who was stuck in the airport spectacle, claimed that it took over one hour for his jet to get a slot to depart the airport.
