Herbert Wigwe, Ambode, Steve Wozniak and others step out for Access Conference 2015

The sophomore edition of the biggest innovative conference in Africa, Access Conference 2015 which held at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, brought together entrepreneurs, politicians and CEOs from all over the globe.

The conference which was put together by Access Bank, saw moguls across all spectrum -Digital Technology, Broadcast, Banking, Governance, Finance, New Media and Fashion come together to have conversations about the imperative of innovation in a transformational world.

“This conference should enable every one of us to ask the important question: “What If?” What if Nigeria’s literacy level was 100%? Innovation is no longer an option but an absolute necessity.” Said Herbert Wigwe, CEO/MD Access Bank during his opening address.

Also at the conference, Apple co-founder, Steve Wozniak during his fire-side chat on Entrepreneurship and Innovation with Jose Maria Figures, former President of Costa Rica said “Artificial Intelligence is the future of innovation, although we would never be able to make a brain or human mind, innovative technology is always technology that suits humans.”

The Access Conference was anchored by Lucy Alexander, Journalist and Newsreader at Skye News, other guests in attendance were Akinwunmi Ambode, Governor of Lagos State; Herbert Wigwe, Chief Executive Officer Access Bank; Aliko Dangote, Chief Executive Officer Dangote Group; Ibukun Awosika, Chairman First Bank Group, Hans Rosling, Professor of Global Health at Sweden’s Karolinska Institute; Chude Jideonwo, Managing Partner Red Media Africa, Tara Durotoye, Chief Executive Officer House of Tara International, Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, President of the Nigeria Stock Exchange (NSE); Osayi Alile, Executive Director Access Bank; Lanre Da Silva Ajayi, Founder of LDA Couture; Nnamdi Ekeh, Co-founder of Yudala; Jonathan Henning, Creative Strategist @Twitter and MUHAMMAD YUNUS, Founder of Grameen Bank – Nobel Peace Prize 2006.
