Highest paid Premier League coaches unveiled as league draws close

As 13 August 2016 draws to a close, the most-watched league in the world plans to make a return to broadcast across 212 countries in 643 million homes and to approximately 4.7 billion audience all over the world.

This league is also known as the Barclays Premier League as it is sponsored by the Barclays Bank in England, often referred to as the English Premier League (EPL).

Though the glitz and glamour of the exciting sport may beam on the players, no doubt, managers are the most important people at a football club. We often remember them when it’s time to play the blame game after the team falls short of expectations. Arsenal FC’s boss, Arsene Wenger, was right when he said: “Football managers are the most important for a club if not why do they get sacked when things don’t go well?”

Between August and May 2017, club managers are to play their cards as best as they can and bring in their philosophy to make their clubs the talk of the town, for good.

 

In March 2016, here are the top 10 highest paid managers in the premier league :

  1. The number one manager in club football and on the surface of the earth is Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola who will receive £15 million salary every year during his three-year contract.
  2. Next is Manchester United’s new coach, the special one, Jose Mourinho who will be paid £13.8m yearly in his 3 year deal with likely will extend to the fourth year
  3. Arsene Wenger, the man who has for long stood firm with North London’s Arsenal Football Club in 20 years, is third on the list of the most paid coaches in the premier league with a yearly salary averaged at £8.30m
  4. Liverpool’s new coach, Jurgen Klopp, the best paid in the club’s history is fourth on the list earning £7m.
  5. West Ham’s coach, Slaven Bilic also makes it to the list after replacing Sam Allardyce with a justifying salary of £3m
  6. Roberto Martinez of Everton who also earns £3m while his contract at Goodison Park continues is number six on the list.
  7. Ronald Koeman, sits at the perfect number with a yearly salary of £2m from Southampton FC
  8. With a handsome pay of £2m, Mauricio Pochettino, former Southampton’s manager who presently is the head of Tottenham makes number eight on the list of highest paid premier league coach.
  9. Down on the list is Tim Sherwood, Aston Villa who replaced Paul Lambert at Villa Park and earns £2m
  10. Alan Pardew ends the list, at number ten, with his earning of £1.5m from Crystal Palace.
