  1. LAST MINUTES OF GERMANWINGS : WINDSHIELD CRACKED, PILOTS UNCONSCIOUS? The darkest day in the history of Lufthansa, parent company of GermanWings, spread across continents as Europeans and Americans, Australians and Asians, Africans and South Americans have been identified among victims of the ill-fated flight 4U 9525 which crashed in the French Alps yesterday (Tuesday, March 24) en route Dusseldorf from Barcelona around 10:41 am. The 24 year-old A320 plane was suspected to have crashed following a crack in its windshield leading to loss of consciousness by the pilots and subsequent sudden descent from 38,000 feet to less than 7,000 feet. 144 passengers and 6 crew members from Germany, Spain, Britain, United States of America, Japan, Australia, Netherlands,Turkey, Denmark, Belgium, Kazakhstan, Morocco, among others, perished in the crash which left debris over the Alps. Among the dead were 16 students and two teachers of Joseph Koening Gynasium school near Dusseldorf. Anguish was felt across the globe as world leaders condoled the families of the departed, with France’s President Francois Holland, Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel and Spain’s Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy uniting in grief and visiting the crash site.

ZAYN MALIK QUITS WORLD’S BIGGEST BOY BAND, ONE DIRECTION… The five piece world’s biggest boy band, One Direction lost a member today (Wednesday, March 25) as Zayn Malik announced he’s leaving Niall, Harry, Liam and Louis to carry on with the monstrously popular group. Fans are distressed following the announcement of Zayn’s departure after five years with the UK group. Zayn announced earlier today, “I am leaving because l want to be a normal 22 year old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight”. Many believe his fiancee Perrie Edwards influenced his decision. Zayn abandoned the group’s tour in Hong Kong last week when his alleged dalliance with a fan was exposed.
