How 3 year old Olubunmi Ajelero kidnapped in Surulere (Lagos) was miraculously found in Abeokuta (Ogun): ‘We are not aware any ransom was paid’ -Police PRO, Kenneth Nwosu

Confirming the abduction and eventual rescue of the baby, the Lagos Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Kenneth Nwosu, when ENCOMIUM Weekly contacted him said, “Yes, she was kidnapped at Baptist Church, Surulere, Lagos, and was rescued by policemen in Abeokuta through a collaborative effort of the Lagos and Ogun divisions.”

On whether ransom was paid to the kidnappers, he said: “We do not encourage ransom. We are not aware any ransom was paid. It is only the family that can say if they paid ransom. We don’t pay ransom to anybody. The stand of the police is that ransom should not be paid to kidnappers or abductors.”
