How colleagues struggled to raise N3 million before Pastor Ajidara died

Late Pastor Ajidara who died of kidney failure on Saturday, May 6, 2017, was said to have needed about N 15 m for him to be back on his feet. And since this was made known, some of his colleagues, including Bolaji Amusan (Mr Latin), Yomi Fash Lanso, Muyiwa Ademola and others swung  into action, appealing to the public to raise the fund as it became clear that the actor couldn’t foot the bill.

According to one of the fund raising committee members, Mr Latin, about N3 m was raised, while some were still pledging.

Meanwhile, arrangement has already been perfected to fly him to India for kidney transplant.

“We have only raised about N3 m before Pastor Ajidara passed away on Saturday evening. The money was paid into his wife’s account. We all hoped he would still survive it because there was no sign he would die even until that Saturday. But when we saw his condition, and the doctor had confirmed that what he needed to live was to undergo the surgery and he gave the idea of the amount it would cost, we had to start soliciting fund from the well meaning and kind hearted Nigerians because we all loved Pastor Ajidara.

“He was a nice colleague and a very good actor. But man proposes, God disposes. His death still remains a great shock. We all thought he would survive it, but God knows best.”
