‘I couldn’t speak with him for 70 days’ – Estranged wife laments

IT’S surely not the best of moments in the home of top Yoruba actor, Damola Olatunji as the boat of his one year marriage to his wife, Raliat Damilola is said to have capsized, allegedly on account of his clandestine affair with fellow entertainer, Bukola Awoyemi better known as Arugba.
The secret romance between the two lovebirds reportedly resulted in pregnancy, rumoured to have been terminated by the latter.
An industry source disclosed to ENCOMIUM Weekly that Arugba now parades flat tummy, an indication that she might have lost the pregnancy.
And since the knowledge of her unholy relationship with the talented film maker became public, she was said to be uncomfortable; hence the decision to jet out to the UK.
“Bukky’s romance with Damola Olatunji is no longer news in the industry. The only thing that’s new now is the pregnancy she lost.
“I learnt she has even left the shores of Nigeria for the UK, a couple of days back. She would be there for a while just to save her face from further shame. But now, Damola has not gone back to his matrimonial home. I learnt he has abandoned his wife. The way things are going now, I don’t see any reconciliation in sight soon.
“Even when Bukky was around, I learnt Damola would never sleep in his Oko-Oba, Orile Agege, Lagos residence. He was always with Bukky in Magodo, Lagos. But now that Bukky has left the country, I don’t know whether he is back home or not.”
ENCOMIUM Weekly’s efforts to get Olatunji’s reaction to the tale on Friday, November 14, 2014, were dishonoured as the handsome thespian replied, “You better go to Chibok and look for the missing girls, and leave me alone.”
Arugba who is said to be in the UK at the moment could also not be reached.
Meanwhile, Olatunji’s estranged wife, Raliat Damilola, we learnt, is very bitter, devastated and uncomfortable right now about the ugly situation she found herself.
This was reflected in her interview with an online magazine recently, where she was reported to have been abandoned by her hubby for Arugba.
“I am sad, frustrated and I don’t know where to start from. What did I do to deserve this? I gave my all. Or is it a sin to love someone who claims to love you?
“Damola and I didn’t have any issue neither did we quarrel, just the normal ups and downs that couples have. But I started feeling uneasy few weeks to our wedding anniversary when he rarely picked my calls nor replied my SMS promptly. He would only call me back in the middle of the night,” she was reported to have said.
Damilola, who reportedly narrated her ordeal further was quoted to have lamented, “I was at home for 30 days and Damola only slept at home once. Later, I heard he was with Bukky in Magodo. Then, I went to see his parents but got the shock of my life as they told me point blank that they would only want what their son wants.
“All my parents’ efforts to make peace have been turned down by his parents. I have not spoken to Damola for over 70 days as he neither picks my calls nor replies my SMS.”
