How Jyoti and Kiran Matharoo turned posh boutique hotels to love nests

When the Matharoo siblings decided to make Nigeria a base for their tryst, the poshest boutique hotels in the commercial and entertainment hub of Africa were carefully handpicked.

Those who know the sisters claimed that the most beautiful parts of Lagos city, its most expensive areas, appealed to the pleasure hunters.

Wheatbaker Hotel in Ikoyi was one of their earliest homes.  The boutique hotel on Onitolo (Lawrence) Road won their hearts.

Fancied by the well-heeled who crave privacy, the spot is frequented for out-of-your-face dalliances and quiet eat outs.

Jyoti and Kiran Matharoo planted themselves here, many times tantalising patrons with their semi nude bikini-clad frames as they lounged lazily at the swimming pool.

Maison Fahrenheit, owned by Anselm Tabansi, also once served as the ‘boudoir’ of the Kardashian look-alike.

The well-appointed 38 room/suite wonder on Adetokunbo Ademola, Victoria Island, provided a base to realise their machinations.

And later, Eko Signature, the newer and posher part of the popular hotel  (Eko Hotel & Suites), also on Adetokunbo Ademola, was their last haven before the monumental scandal burst in December 2016.

They reportedly entertained some of their randy rich folks here until their arrest and detention following allegations of sextortion and cyber bullying.
