How professor killed lawyer brother over family property

Certainty, this is not the best of time for the Abioses in Bodija , Ibadan,  Oyo state . The well grounded family ( both in education and wealth) are not only in shock but also in pain over the killing of one them by his own brother.
They are yet to fathom why Professor Gboyega Abiose, 68, a professor of dentistry, who trained abroad and for many years plied his trade there, would pour petrol and set his own brother, Mr Yinka Abiose, SAN, 64 and a prominent lawyer based in Ibadan, on fire over an argument on who has right to live in the family house or not.
Encomium.ng gathered that since Professor Gboyega Abiose relocated to Nigeria some years back, he has been having problems with his junior – Late Yinka Abiose – over his right to live in the family main building; while he consigned him and his family to the bungalow at the back.
We further gathered that there was an issue of unsettled debt between the brothers. Professor Abiose, we learnt, loaned his brother (late Yinka Abiose, SAN), a sum of money which he was not forthcoming in settling on time.
The whole bitter bickering between the two brothers came to a sorrowful end last week when Yinka Abiose gave up the ghost at University College Hospital ( UCH), Ibadan , after  two weeks of going through excruciating pain brought about upon him by his own brother who poured petrol on him and lighted him up.
Professor Gboyega Abiose has since been arrested by the police and going by what we are told, the Oyo state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Ajisebutu, he may be charged to court tomorrow (Wednesday, September 6, 2017).
According to the PPRO, who spoke to us today (Tuesday , September 5, 2017), Professor Gboyega Abiose is presently cooling his feet at SCIID , Iyaganku, Ibadan.
He further said the commissioner of police in the state has ordered a thorough investigation into the gruesome murder of brother by brother.
