How RCCG’s Assistant G.O. Olu Obanure slumped and died

Pastor Olu Obanure, one of the top aides of Pastor E. A. Adeboye, died on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at the age of 65. Until his death, Pastor Obanure was an Assistant General Overseer and Pastor-in-charge of Redeemed Christian Church of God (West African coast), with his base in Ghana.

In a statement released by the mission, Pastor Olaitan Olubiyi, Head, Media and Public Relations, it expressed that “the entire church is deeply touched by his sudden exit but are comforted by the exemplary Christian life which he lived and the fact that he served his Lord and master till the end.”

According to an insider, the Kogi state born clergy slumped at a function he was invited to by a friend inside The Redemption Camp, in Mowe (Ogun).

Pastor Obanure, had a Masters Degree in Communications and Language Arts from the University of Ibadan (Oyo). He is survived by his wife and children.
