After over a year of being in a mutually beneficial relationship, the popular musician adoringly addressed as Skales and Baseline Records began to have a strained liaison following huge loss of investment. The company had invested heavily in the 25 year old singer, hoping to recoup its money from performances and endorsement… which failed to yield the desired results.
Over time Baseline was said to have been disturbed by the fee Skales reportedly claimed to be charging for performances. And after logistics and expenses are deducted, nothing accrued to Baseline.
The company started thinking about it, asking around.
When the company hesitated in spending more money on Skales for promotion and publicity, it was surprised that the musician had a lot of money to spend. And the suspicion grew. Where was the money coming from?
That was when it decided to set up the California deal to confirm its fears. And money was paid to Osagie, Skales manager, and Baseline was kept in the dark. Not knowing it was a set up.
After charging $5,000 dollars for the California show, on 18th May, 2016 the first tranche of $2,500 (two thousand five hundred US dollars) representing 50% (fifty percent) of the performance fee demanded by Teresa Osagioduwa Osarenkhoe was wired into the following account:
Bank of America.
Name: Teresa Osagioduwa Osarenkhoe.
