Congratulations, how does it feel as the best graduating student?

It feels great. It is a beautiful thing.

Did you see it coming?

Yes, I expected it but not at the beginning. I was encouraged by my fellowship to do well academically. We give overcomers award in my fellowship for all first class graduates. At a point, I also wanted that award.

Can you share the secret of your success?

I will attribute it to God, how He helped me and the wisdom He gave me. There was really no special hard work. Though, I knew I had to read, God did it for me.

Let us into your daily routine?

I woke up early because I had early classes, sometimes, I slept late and woke up early. I attended lectures, did my assignment, went to fellowship, read, slept. I read when it was needful.

How many hours do you devote to reading daily?

It depended on what I had to read. I can’t pin point a number of hours to it. Sometimes, I didn’t read in a day. It all depended, it might take two hours or more to grab a particular topic. The most important thing is understanding and recalling what I read.

Which fellowship do you attend?

The Redeem Christian Fellowship. I was in drama department, I was the assistant drama coordinator before I became the vice president of the fellowship.

So, you didn’t have a B while in school?

Yes, I didn’t. I worked with my classmates a lot. I don’t look at how brilliant the person is. I also didn’t start a semester without asking those ahead of me how far, what and what should I expect from my courses.

Were you a book worm?

I wouldn’t say I was a book worm. I was out for the knowledge. You can’t see me all the time reading. You can see me chatting with my friends. I had very close friends, Rotimi, Tosin, most of the girls in my class were my friends

What about a boyfriend?

I didn’t have one. I never wanted distraction.

What about your social life?

I had a balanced life while in school.

Any offer or scholarship yet?

None yet.

What is the next step for you?

I would go for service, then my masters. I am interested in Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence. I would love to travel abroad for it.

What about if an offer comes your way?

It depends on how and when.

Tell us about your family?

My father is an electrical engineer. My mom is a fashion designer. They are practicing on their own. I am the first born. We are three girls. The second girl is in UNILAG studying Economics. The last born is about writing JAMB. My dad is from Ondo while my mom is from Ogun state.
