I did not leave an empty treasury – Goodluck Jonathan

Former president Goodluck Jonathan has rejected the much repeated line of the Buhari led administration that he left an empty treasury for his successor.

Reacting to the claim by President Buhari that he met a virtually empty treasury in an interview with Bloomberg Television in London today, June 6, 2016 he said, ‘There’s no way he would have inherited an empty treasury. It’s not possible.”

He also revealed that he was being investigated for corruption but he didn’t reveal what the investigations may reveal adding that he would leave Buhari’s government to do its Job. “Of course, they investigated and I’ve been investigated,’ he added.
