‘I feel honoured winning Agege House of Representatives seat’- Hon. Abiodun Adaranijo

Former Orile Agege Local Council Development Area boss, Hon. Taofeek Abiodun Adaranijo has expressed joy over his victory at the Saturday, March 28, 2015, National Assembly elections. He gave the glory of his victory to Almighty God and the entire people of the constituency.

Speaking with ENCOMIUM Weekly on Tuesday, March 31, 2015, the Awori born politician said winning the election was an expression of the confidence the residents of Agege have in him.

He therefore pledged not to disappoint them as his representation will surely bring more dividends of democracy to the area.

“I feel honoured emerging victorious at the Saturday, March 28, 2015 National Assembly elections. It’s a thing of joy that I will be representing my people at the federal level.

“I give God the glory for being with me all this while. I am also grateful to the people of Agege for their love and support before, during and after the elections.

“My victory shows that my people have confidence in me. And I pledge I won’t disappoint them. They believe life will be better in Agege if I represent them in Abuja. If there’s adequate supply of electricity everywhere in the country, it will also be the same in Agege. They have the trust that I will perform, that’s why they voted for me massively. They believe they will enjoy more of dividends of democracy. I thank them all for their love and support.

Asked to comment on the conduct of the elections in Agege and Lagos as a whole, he said, “Elections were peaceful in my area and Lagos generally, except that voting materials didn’t arrive in time in some areas, which was later addressed. And that’s why elections were shifted to the next day. And everything was successful.

‘To me, it was an improvement on what has been happening. But we can still do better.”
