I never said I wasn’t married – Kcee clarifies

Rave of the moment and creator of the monstrously popular song, Limpopo, Kcee has denied a recent media report claiming he said he wasn’t married.

In an exclusive interview with ENCOMIUM Weekly, on Saturday, June 15, 2013, Kingsley Okonkwo (that’s his biological name) told us he only said he wasn’t the one that wedded in Lekki, Lagos, years back but his younger brother, Emeka Okonkwo, better known as E-Money.

In his words, the hip life star and maiden winner of Nigerian Breweries Plc, sponsored Star Quest (the music talent reality TV show) clarified he cannot deny his wife and children.

“I have never denied my family. Anybody that knows me would tell you I only separate work from family. That is my own way of keeping them from the prying eyes of the public except when it’s absolutely necessary. In fact, close friends know my family. My traditional marriage in Anambra State, as you know was star-studded and well reported. The report is not only false but misleading”.

Asked if his wife read the story that trended all through last week in the net, Kcee said she did but laughed it off.

Totally committed to a marital union already blessed with two lovely kids, a girl and a boy. Kcee, however, revealed to ENCOMIUM Weekly that he has thousands of other wives and girlfriends. Before you scream and gasp for breath, the Okpekete master and Sengemenge exponent is referring to his intimidating female fans.

And those close to the Limpopo crooner attested to this, giving instances with his open relationship with his fans, the little gifts he gives the lucky ones and the recent birthday party he celebrated with students of the University of Lagos, which is incidentally his wife’s alma mater.

Meanwhile, Kcee’s Limpopo is still topping the charts even as he gets busier. A song generally accepted and appreciated as his best effort after over a decade in the music industry, Limpopo is now the toast of Djs and Vjs. The popular artist may also release his debuted solo album towards the end of the year.
