I feel humbled, surprised because I wasn’t expecting it and am thankful to God.

What went through your mind when you were announced the winner?

First, I had to rethink. If it was really me, I was shocked and amazed.

What do you think gave you an edge over other contestant?

I think I stand out cause of my height and my intelligence. I remained focused and I have a unique beauty.

Did you think you would win?

No! I never expected it.

What was the experience like in camp?

I learnt a lot in camp, we were able to accomplish so much in such a short time. It was hectic but it was worth it in the end.

Why did you decide to contest for the crown?

I stumbled into Miss Grand Nigeria website, I went through it and I found that the cause of the pageant was to say, No to war and violence. It’s a pageant with vision and a mission. It’s not like every other pageant out there, so I decided to go for it.

Are your parents in support of you being a pageant queen?

Yes, 100 percent.

What would change about you now that you are Miss Grand Nigeria?

I don’t think anything will change about me. I am still the same Ifeoma.

What are the goodies (other prizes) that came with the crown?

Apart from me representing my great country at the Miss Grand International in Bangkok Thailand, I have my million naira (big smile). I obtained a co-starring role in Tonto Dikeh’s next movie, a year hair supply, designers shoes and bags, Power Horse fridge, towels and supply, modelling contracts with QLA Nigeria Ltd and so much more.

What will you do with your prize money?

Pay my tithe to God first and then use the remainder to groom myself for Miss Grand international

What pet project do you have in mind?

Since Miss Grand Nigeria is focused on stopping war and violence. I will focus my NGO on helping to protect women from every form of violence.
