IFEOMA Williams, Miss Lux 1998, is still rattled by the wicked rumour that she is at the centre of an alleged adultery mess with billionaire tycoon, Tunde Folawiyo.
Apparently shaken and humbled to the bones, Mrs. Williams has been shying away from discussing any issue related to the rumour that originated on the internet.
When, for instance, she called ENCOMIUM Weekly on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, she refused to be drawn into the allegation, pleading once again to be left alone for the sake of her children. (She has never said a word about her husband, Mr. Andrea Williams and suspected lover).
“So, you went ahead to publish the story with my photograph. I got calls from friends that I’m on your magazine. But I told you to leave me alone. Please, respect my children. Please, leave me alone! Leave me alone!! Leave me alone!!!”
Not even our explanation that the story was in her best interest since it dispelled the adultery tale, could calm the sultry ex-beauty queen, entrepreneur and lawyer down.
Those close to Mrs. Williams also confided in ENCOMIUM Weekly that she has not been happy with the adultery rumour which is now on the lips of her friends and foes. We were equally told she manages to put up a brave front in the midst of the embarrassment the ugly incident had caused her. This was one reason, we were also told, she mustered the courage to attend Mo Abudu’s Ebony Life TV launch on Sunday, June 30, 2013.
Although the cynosure of all eyes as she stepped out in a stunning black jumpsuit, Ifeoma used the well-attended occasion to forget her undeserved ordeal.
Expectations that she would grace the 38th edition of Miss Nigeria beauty pageant held at Intercontinental Hotel and Resort, Victoria Island, Lagos on Saturday, July 6, were dashed. Suggesting that the sweet-faced fashionista may have withdrawn into her shell, at least for now.
Last week, a portal had broken the story of how a billionaire businessman was caught in Paris, France with a married ex-beauty queen (allegedly Ifeoma Williams) by his wife. According to the unconfirmed story that has since gone viral on the internet, the wife of the billionaire tycoon, who suspected her husband’s relationship with the former beauty queen, traced the ‘lovebirds’ to their hotel in the exotic city synonymous with luxury and romance.
According to the report, the delectable lady and the successful businessman, who is on the board of many companies, had secretly built their affair without knowing that his wife had been monitoring them. And it didn’t take time for the wind to blow and expose their scandalous affair in faraway Paris, France.
But the stunning beauty who is married and has children has labelled the rumour disheartening, wicked, malicious and fictitious.
Apart from not being in Paris (France) lately, where the romance reportedly blew open, Mrs. Williams (married to Andrea Williams) was upset about the fact that ‘jobless’ bloggers could rubbish her image in this manner without caring a hoot. “It is all lies. What does it profit one to smear a soul at all costs, yet no evidence and all anonymous? How does this sound to you?” she had stated in a phone chat with ENCOMIUM Weekly on Saturday, June 29, 2013.
And when we asked Mrs. Williams her relationship with the billionaire tycoon, she shunned our inquiries, insisting she should be left alone in peace. “I have been through hell. I want to be left alone in peace. If you must join them to publish the falsehood, at least, research well. May God help us all.”
The one-time Miss Lux repeatedly begged to be left alone when we asked her more questions on the adultery tale, insisting, “I have no more comments…Please, leave me alone.”
Relatedly, Mrs. Ifeoma Williams again refused to address more questions we asked her on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, on the alleged adultery rumour with Mr. Tunde Folawiyo. Our SMS read: “Good evening Mrs. Ifeoma Williams, ENCOMIUM Weekly is working on a follow-up story to your alleged romance with billionaire businessman, Tunde Folawiyo.
