Ikeja Exclusive Lions Club celebrates second anniversary in grand style

The Ikeja Exclusive Lions Club under District 404B2 Nigeria, yesterday, 2nd August 2020, celebrated her 2nd anniversary in a grand style in Lagos. Ikeja exclusive lions club was chartered at the international association of lions clubs convention in Las Vegas , United States on August 1, 2018 .

As part of the ceremony marking her 2nd anniversary , the club led by her president ,Lion Benedicta Akhuetie visited the precious pearl orphanage home in Egbeda. On ground to receive the club was the founder of the home – Mrs.Hannah Omeiza and her children .

The president of the club while making the donation , thanked the founder for her contribution towards serving humanity and for adequately catering for the children . The club thereafter donated various items such as industrial cooking gas and pot , bags of rice , garri , noddles, clothes and several choice items. In appreciation the club members were thrilled by the children to various dance steps .

The club thereafter had an exclusive party to celebrate her success over the past 2 years, part of the success stories are :-

  1. Carried out 60 humanity services within and beyond Ikeja Community in last 2 years
  2. International grant of $3000 from Lion Club International to carry out diabetes awareness
  3. Produced the best president in the district in her 1st year 2018/2019
  4. 2nd best club in the district 2018/2019
  5. 4th best club in parade in the Nigeria 2018/2019
  6. Sponsored the charter of Ibadan Exclusive Lions Club 2019/2020
  7. Produced some many district officers, e.g Zone chair persons ,Region Chairperson , Deputy Cabinet secretary, to mention but a few 2019/2020 and 2020/2021.
  8. First club to produced a member that become a lions club president abroad, Lion Mabel Ben-Muka of Newbridge Kildare Lions Club, Ireland for 2020/2021.
