I’m not running for office – Otedola denies governorship ambition

Earlier this morning (Friday, May 18, 2018), billionaire Femi Otedola denied insinuations that he’s running for public office.

In a Twitter post at 12:38 am, the Forte Oil chairman stated:
My attention has been drawn to a news piece where false information from a parody account was posted. I am a man of the people and I will always be on the side of the masses but I am stating clearly via this medium that I am not running for office.
Blogs and websites have been abuzz following the Odoragunsin, Epe, Lagos born mogul’s post of his ride in the notorious public transport Molue, from Sango Ota to Agege earlier in the week (on Wednesday, May 16).
They adduced the seemingly populist move to seeking public service, possibly aiming to be Lagos governor.
His ride in a London bus (when he visited his old teacher in Wandsworth) earlier in the year was also connected to this ambition.
Many close observers also allude to his joining social media (Twitter and Instagram) and being active as one of the moves to realise that ambition.
But the man of means has now denied any such ambition…
