IMPROVEMENT IN ELECTRICITY SUPPLY EXCITES NIGERIANS (3)

Electricity consumers in Nigeria, especially in some parts of Lagos are happy with the performance of Power Distribution Companies Discos.

Admitting they now enjoy better services, they encouraged them to do more…

‘THE SUPPLY IS BETTER THAN WHAT IT USED TO BE’ – – Habeeb Haruna, Agege

I can’t deny the fact that light has been fairly stable now. The supply is better than what it used to be. But we will all be happy if there can be reduction in the tariff. The amount we’re paying is too much. And I believe the present administration will turn the sector around, especially for the benefit of some of us artisans who can’t afford to acquire heavy generator set for our businesses.

If that is done, I will be happy because my business will go forward. But presently, the situation is better.

‘I HAVE NOTICED SOME IMPROVEMENT IN THE LIGHT’ – – Ade Balogun

Yes, I have noticed some improvement in electricity supply. At least now, whether it rains or shines, you’re sure you’ll have light. It is really a good thing. Of course, it has helped us now, we get to save more money. We either save the money we would use for fuel or spend it on more important things

‘WE’RE ENJOYING FAIRLY REGULAR SUPPLY OF ELECTRICITY THIS TIME AROUND’ – Victoria Ayotunde, Mushin

We’re enjoying fairly regular supply of electricity this time around, unlike few months back when we hardly got light. The situation is quite different from what we’re going through before the former Present Jonathan left.

Now, we can boast of having light for long hours every day, unless there is technical fault in the transformer. But that doesn’t mean the situation can be better. We deserve more than that because we’re still paying heavy tariff.

‘THERE IS SOME IMPROVEMENT’ – Promise Chris

I will say yes, there is some improvement in the stability of light since last month. But one thing you should also know is that it is rainy season and the dam is full. So, why won’t there be more light? I don’t think it is anything special.

‘ELECTRICITY HAS IMPROVED HERE’ – Chinedu Michael, College Road, Ogba

It is true power supply has greatly improved in my area and beyond. We are however, looking forward to a more consumer -friendly tarriff. What we’re paying now is quite on the high side and something must be done about it.

‘LIGHT HAS IMPROVED A LOT’ – Funke Joshua, Ogba

Light has improved a lot. We are enjoying light to a very great extent. May be they were waiting for President Buhari to take over before improvement in power supply.

‘I CAN’T REMEMBER THE LAST TIME WE HAD LIGHT’ – Oyindamola Adewale, Command Ipaja

I can’t remember the last time we had light. It has been like a month or two. They have not even blinked it since. Most people make use of generator now.

‘WE STILL NEED MORE POWER’ – Calister Nnaji, Ajah

It’s not as if the GENCOs and the DISCOs have really arrived. Yes, power supply is getting a boost but we still need more action.
