In Sweden, it’s a six hour work day thrill

Unlike other countries working 8 hours per day, in Sweden it’s just 6-hours!

In the Scandinavian nation, business have made the switch to shorter working day, and it seems other countries are about to follow suit.

According to Linus Feidt, CEO of Filimundus, working longer hours is detrimental to staff’s health, happiness and productivity.

He also added that, “To stay focused on a specific work task for 8 hours is a huge challenge. In order to cope, we mix in things and pauses to make the work day more endurable. At the same time, we are having it hard to manage our private life outside of work.”

Also, a Toyota service centre in Gothenburg, Sweden, report that with the 6-hour working day, staff are more motivated and have more energy to complete the same volume of work in less time. Profits have also risen to 25 per cent in the past months.
