INI EDO blows hot over marriage break-up – ‘People should mind their business’

IT’S no longer news that famous actress, Ini Edo’s marriage to Philip Ehiagwina has crashed irreconcilably.  And that much has been said and written about the break-up.

However, ENCOMIUM Weekly was informed by an industry source that the main reason the sexy thespian and her estranged hubby went their separate ways was not unconnected with the misunderstanding over the multi-million naira Lekki mansion the Nollywood star was said to have acquired recently.

Ehiagwina, we were told, insisted the house should be jointly owned by the two of them being a couple.  This, we learnt, was turned down by the pretty role interpreter; hence the decision by Ehiagwina to call it quits with the six-year relationship.  Not only that, he was also said to have relocated to Ghana where he eventually found a new love whom he is perfecting plans to wed soon.

“I don’t think Ini Edo and Philip Ehiagwina can come back together as husband and wife again.  Things seem to have fallen apart, and the centre may not hold again.  I learnt since the break-up, both of them have not communicated.  Philip is now in Accra, Ghana, and has met a new lady there who I learnt he is planning to wed soon.

“I learnt the cause of the trouble in Ini Edo’s union with Ehiagwina was that the man wanted to be a joint owner of the beautiful edifice Ini just bought in Lekki with her hard earned income but Ini refused.  Since then, her husband has walked out of the marriage and all efforts to broke the peace between him and Ini couldn’t yield the desired result.

“I also learnt Ini Edo has vowed not to come the way of Ehiagwina again.”

On Friday, December 11, 2014, ENCOMIUM Weekly got across to the ebony film maker with a  view to seeking her reaction to the tale, and she said, “Let me be frank with you, I have not spoken with anybody concerning the break-up of my marriage.  And I am not going to say anything about it. It’s my past and I have put it where it belongs.  So, let it remain like that.

“I don’t care whatever people might have said or written as the cause of the break-up, that’s their business.  I have not granted anybody any interview and I won’t do that.  It’s my private life, you guys should please let me be.”

However, ENCOMIUM Weekly’s effort to reach out to Ehiagwina proved abortive as the Delta born businessman was said to be in Ghana at the moment.
