Ini Edo denies winding down night club business

‘It’s a tale without credibility’, she says

Nollywood star, Iniobong Edo, simply addressed as Ini Edo, has rubbished the tale that she has closed down her hospitality haven, Mimz, on Durosimi Etti Drive, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos. She added that the tale is incredible. She further described the tale as a baseless rumour, labeling those peddling it as jobless.

Speaking with ENCOMIUM Weekly on Monday, May 30, 2016, the sexy actress expressed bitterness about the tale. She therefore enjoined the public to disregard it as there’s no iota of truth in it.

“I am hearing this for the first time. I can’t even understand what you’re trying to say. How can some people be saying the business I opened some months ago has closed down? Mimz was opened in September last year and has since been doing well. The place is on the road, very visible. You can go there yourself and verify. I don’t even believe those peddling the rumour have visited the place since it opened.”

Asked to comment on the profitability of the trade, she reacted, “I have just told you what you need to do. If you can’t go there yourself, you can send any of your guys there to feel the atmosphere to know whether the place is still functioning or not before we can start talking about whether I am making profit or not. Go there and feed me back. But in truth, the story has no credibility. So, don’t bother yourself about it.”

Meanwhile, Mimz Lounge & Hotel has been reportedly shut due to poor funding which has allegedly made the Akwa Ibom born film maker regret venturing into the business. But when ENCOMIUM Weekly contacted Ini Edo on this, she quashed it all.

However, it was a night of glamour and glitz on Wednesday, September 30, 2015, as the gorgeous role interpreter opened her bar, lounge and guest house, Mimz in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, and the event was attended by top celebrities, especially her colleagues.
