HERBAL slimming expert, Dr. Quincy Olasumbo Ayodele and her husband, Engr. John Oladipo Ayodele were joyous on Saturday, December 7, 2013, when their second daughter, Marita Oluwatola wedded her lover, Adekunle Olaiya Abdul-Bojela in grand style.
The lovebirds were joined in holy matrimony at The Redeemed Christian Church of God, City of David Parish, Dideolu Estate, Victoria Island, Lagos by Pastor Idowu Iluyomade. Earlier that day, they did their engagement at the Ayodeles’ Ikoyi, Lagos home. Despite the heavy rainfall, many of the guests made it to the colourful church wedding with the exchange of vows, rings and signing of the marriage register taking centre stage.
The marriage solemnization ended at 3 p.m, and it was time for the reception. The destination was Landmark Village, Oniru, Victoria Island, Lagos, where many of the guests had already been seated. The newly-wed, Adekunle and Marita Abdul-Bojela arrived the venue in a black Hummer jeep and stretch Hummer Limousine. Before long, the couple’s parents, Engr. John and Dr. (Mrs.) Quincy Ayodele and Otunba Aderemi and Mrs. Elizabeth Nana Abdul-Bojela were called into the expansive well air conditioned marquee. The couple and the bridal party were also ushered into the marquee, and every other proceeding continued.
It was dance, comedy and backslapping at the ceremony anchored by comedian Segun Dangote with Princess Folake on the bandstand. Others who made the ceremony thick included Bonix Drinks, Ice Box, Anita Brows and Beauty, Cocktails In and Out, Saheeto Small Chops, Christines Creatives, Victoria Roberts Décor…
For Adekunle and Marita, it was love at first sight. They met at a wedding which held at Landmark Village, Oniru, Victoria Island, Lagos, the same venue they ended as husband and wife. For three years, they were an item before sealing it up with the Saturday, December 7, 2013 wedding. Adekunle Abdul-Bojela, 31, is into oil and gas, while Marita Oluwatola, 26, is one of the directors at her mother’s slimming company, Quincy Herbal Slimmers.
Personalities who dazzled in the fuschia pink and silver colour code included HRM Oba Adedotun Gbadebo and his Olori, Mrs. Joko Oni, Mrs. Moji Dokpesi, Chief (Mrs.) Bisi Abiola, Jide Omokore, actors Saheed Balogun and Eniola Olaiya, ex-beauty queen, Omowunmi Akinnnifesi and a host of others.
