Inside the wondrous wedding of Quincy’s daughter (2)

‘He is my best friend’ – MARITA OLUWATOLA (Bride)

1-DSC_0914 How did the journey actually start?

It all started in 2011 and we are thankful we’re here.

What was the attraction?

He is my best friend and God helped us this far.

How long did it take you to make up your mind about him?

Just two and a half years, by that time we have become close and known each other.

How did he propose?

It was on Valentine’s Day that he popped the question.  Though I wasn’t expecting it, I had to say yes.

Your elder sister married a non-Nigerian, what is your impression about inter-racial marriage?

I don’t have any problem with inter-racial or inter-tribal marriage inasmuch there is love and God is with you, you can marry from anywhere.

From the messages in church, what have you learnt?

I have to be humble, respectful, submissive and love my husband.

What do you have to say to those who came from far and near?

I say thank you to my parents, my in-laws, all the guests and everybody for the love.

‘It was love at first sight’ -PRINCE ADEKUNLE OLAIYA ABDUL-BOJELA (Groom)

1-DSC_0919You have a beautiful woman as wife, can you tell us how it all started?

It all started at a wedding here at Landmark Village, Lagos in 2011.  It was Admiral Jubril Ayinla son’s wedding. By God’s grace we met, and we thank God for the event.

While going to the wedding, did you envisage you will meet somebody who will eventually become your wife?

The Ayinlas are like family friends and the son, Kola is my friend. It is something I had to attend whether I liked it or not, I didn’t know I would meet my wife there.  It was just a coincidence.

How long did it take you to be convinced she will be your wife?

It was love at first sight.

Something must have been the attraction?

Everything about her is an attraction.

How did you propose?

It was on Valentine’s Day after we came back from a dinner at a friend’s house.  I told her and it happened, that was in 2012.

Have you decided on your honeymoon destination?

We are still working on that.

Tell us briefly about yourself.

I am Prince Adekunle Olaiya Abdul-Bojela.  I run an oil and gas company in Victoria Island, Lagos. I am into trading, supply and everything about petroleum generally.  I went to St. Saviour’s School, Ebute Metta and Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos.  I am 31.
