Isalu Hospital’s Nmulti-million Ogba, Lagos edifice nears completion

LAGOS private clinic, Isalu Hospital’s multi-million naira health facility is nearing completion.

Located along the busy Ogba/Ijaiye Road, Ikeja, Lagos, the six-floor edifice which was reportedly started last year might be completed this year.

The multi-storey building, ENCOMIUM Weekly gathered, is being handled by indigenous building design and construction companies who have deployed their expertise to interpret the ambitious architectural wonder.

While Crescent Konsult, architects, Lagos-based project managers and building contractors, designed the wondrous structure, bordering Blue Cross Hospital, UBA and close to Tastee Fried Chicken and Zenith Bank, Isalu management contracted the services of SEC Consult, a civil and environmental engineering firm to erect the magnificent structure.

ENCOMIUM Weekly also found out that mechanical and electrical aspects of the eye-popping project are being undertaken by another Lagos-based chartered and mechanical engineer, Shell Concepts.

And with over N200 million reportedly spent so far, building experts say the mega project would gulp some more millions of naira, considering its design, as well as the state-of-the-art medical equipment the owners are importing to rub shoulders with competitors.

Isalu Hospital owned by a General Practitioner, Dr. Sanusi was first berthed at No.10 WEMPCO Road, Off Agidingbi Road, Ikeja, Lagos.

The private clinic moved to Ogba Housing Estate behind Excellence Hotel in the same neighbourhood, when the road was undergoing major construction.

Isalu Hospitals now have two facilities located off Odunsanmi Street, while awaiting the completion of their five-storey mega structure which would serve as corporate headquarters, with dream of future expansion.

Isalu Hospitals was incorporated in 2004 as a limited liability company. It is a very popular specialist healthcare provider.  The hospital idea was conceived to fulfill a desire and close the yearning gaps in the nation’s existing healthcare delivery systems.

And elitist in its operations and orientation, Isalu Hospitals targets the middle and upper class, for whom it provides customised medical and allied services, using the best professionals empowered with appropriate level of technology and continuous training.

The philosophy of the hospital is, however, to provide excellent medical care to all cadres of society.

Isalu Hospital has grown in leaps and bounds in its over ten years of existence due to the total commitment and dedication of staff and the high level of reputation and customer-goodwill it enjoys.

Isalu prides itself as being one of the leading hospitals in data management and ICT infrastructure in this side part of the country.

“We have a fully developed IT-based management information system, the Isalu Information System (IIS) and maintain a website at www.isaluhospitals.com,” the management boasts.

Hundreds of private and corporate Nigerians as well as foreigners who retain the private hospitals serves, largely do so because of their application of the highest ethical standards in the conduct of their business at all time.

We also learnt the private clinic pays their staff very well.

“We treat them fairly and respectfully to ensure outstanding performance and job satisfaction,” a human resource manager with the private healthcare service provider who didn’t disclose her name said.
